FAQ

What are the advantages of LED slit lamps?

LED slit lamps offer several advantages over halogen slit lamps: Longer lifespan, energy efficiency, cool light source, instantaneous on/off and environmental considerations.

What are the important features to consider when buying a slit lamp?

When buying a slit lamp, there are key factors to consider: Purpose and intended use, magnification, illumination source, imaging capabilities, optics quality, ergonomics, filters and accessories. If possible, consult with experienced eye care professionals in the field. Attend trade shows, conferences, or contact Visionix to request product demonstrations.

Can a slit lamp examination detect all eye pathologies?

While a slit lamp examination is a valuable diagnostic tool, it may not detect all eye problems or conditions. Some conditions may require additional tests or imaging studies, such as OCT or fundus photography, for a more comprehensive evaluation.
